It is an all-time high, especially considering that the previous CS:GO record was set in 2017 when 1.33M viewers watched the Grand Final of ELEAGUE Major. That’s more than double!

At the end of our tournament, we have four new entries in the TOP 5 most popular matches in CS:GO history: 1st place: NAVI vs. G2, 2nd place: NAVI vs. Gambit, 3rd place: G2 vs. Heroic, and 4th place: NAVI vs. Vitality. All these matches were played during the PGL Major.

After these impressive records, CS:GO is now the 5th most popular category on Twitch, surpassing Dota 2, Valorant, and Call of Duty: Warzone. More than 2 million people contributed to the peak viewers statistic. CS:GO also achieved a new milestone on Twitch during the Final, with more than 2 million viewers in the game's category.

Last but not least, the viewers enjoyed over 71.269.601 hours of the finest Counter-Strike action possible. PGL Major takes 9th place in esports history and number 1 in CS:GO thanks to this number.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021 was the first Counter-Strike Major broadcasted in 4K. The tournament also had the biggest prize pool in the history of the franchise: $2 million!
