As previously announced, PGL will renew the Wallachia Seasons with three new iterations in 2025
Bucharest, Romania – October 13, 2024 – After the remarkable success of the first two seasons of the PGL DOTA 2 Wallachia tournament series in 2024, PGL is thrilled to announce the continuation of the Wallachia series with three new seasons in 2025. The 2024 events saw impressive viewership numbers for the first two seasons, confirming Wallachia as a significant event on the esports calendar.
The inaugural season, PGL DOTA 2 Wallachia Season #1, took place from May 10-19, 2024, and captivated fans worldwide with its intense matches and great viewer engagement. This was followed by Season #2 from October 4-13, 2024, which further solidified the series' reputation as a premier DOTA 2 event.
Encouraged by this tremendous success, PGL is excited to bring back the Wallachia series for three more thrilling tournaments in 2025:
PGL DOTA 2 Wallachia Season #3
- Tournament Dates: March 8-16, 2025
- Qualifiers: January 5-12, 2025
PGL DOTA 2 Wallachia Season #4
- Tournament Dates: April 19-27, 2025
- Qualifiers: February 1-8, 2025
PGL DOTA 2 Wallachia Season #5
- Tournament Dates: November 15-23, 2025
- Qualifiers: September 21-28, 2025
Each tournament will feature 16 participating teams: 10 invited and 6 teams advancing from the qualifiers, competing for status, honor, and a share of the $1 million prize pool!
Hospitality Support for each event - $450,000
Each team will receive comprehensive hospitality support covering the following:
- Eight roundtrip flight tickets
- Accommodation for 8 people per team, minimum 4 stars hotel
- Hospitality package for each team to cover food, beverages, and snacks during their stay
- Practice room for six people during their stay
This extensive support package ensures that all participants have a comfortable and focused environment, enabling them to perform at their best.

The qualifiers for each season will also offer emerging teams an opportunity to showcase their skills and shine on the DOTA 2's biggest stages.
PGL will host three additional events in 2026, each with a prize pool of $1 million, scheduled for the following dates:
- March 6-15
- April 17-26
- November 6-15
