PGL Commits to the Future of DOTA 2: Updated Calendar and Event Plans Through 2028

Bucharest, Romania - April 22, 2025 - PGL has officially updated its DOTA 2 tournament schedule, unveiling revised dates for upcoming events and introducing new tournaments to the international esports calendar. The updated roadmap covers competitions from mid-2025 through the end of 2028.

As part of its unwavering commitment to the global DOTA 2 scene, PGL has unveiled a comprehensive tournament roadmap stretching through 2028—an unprecedented move that reinforces the company’s long-term vision for the esports competitive scene. By locking in event dates years in advance and maintaining a consistent $1,000,000 prize pool for each tournament, PGL offers stability for teams, clarity for fans, and a reliable, competitive structure that elevates the entire ecosystem. 

PGL is committed to expanding the DOTA 2 competitive scene and is actively working to add at least one additional event per year in 2026, 2027, and 2028.

Initially planned for November 15–23, 2025, PGL Wallachia Season 5 will take place earlier in the year, with new dates set for June 18 – 29, 2025. This shift opens up the late-year calendar for additional competitive action.

The sixth installment of the acclaimed Wallachia series will take place from November 4 to 16, 2025, bringing top-tier DOTA 2 action and a $1,000,000 prize pool to the stage.

Looking further ahead, PGL has confirmed its DOTA 2 tournament roadmap through 2028, providing fans and teams with a clear long-term structure. The 2026 season will include three events, and the 2027 and 2028 seasons expand to four events spaced throughout the years.
